Beavers (blue branch) is the youngest branch (6 to 8 years) of Guides & Scouts of Europe- Ireland. The Beavers are led by chiefs called "The Great Beaver". The Scouting method of the blue branch places the Children in the imagery of a beaver colony where a young beaver joins, learns and progresses in the colony.

After completing 2 years as a beaver and progressing within the colony, the beaver moves to the picturesque setting of the jungle book to join Mowgli and his friends in the adventures in the yellow branch.
